Alumet granted Parliamentary reception
As twice winners of the coveted Green Apple Award, specialist construction contractor Alumet has been granted a parliamentary reception in the prestigious surroundings of the House of Commons.
The Alumet Group's Directors will showcase their award winning projects, share best practice, promote the company's sustainability credentials and present their EOS Energy range of solar panel systems on 18th January to specially invited guests, members of parliament, peers, think tank research staff, political advisers and industry specialists.
Sustainability in the built environment is one of the most pressing issues within the housing and construction industry, with the reduction of carbon emissions and green issues at the top of the government's agenda. Alumet has lead the way by continuing to diversify in these very difficult times for the construction industry. Traditionally a window, cladding and curtain wall business, the company has successfully diversified into renewable technologies and has increased its staff by 30 in the past 12 months.
Alumet's Marketing Director Dean Walton said "It's a great honour to be invited to Westminster, we are particularly proud to be able to share our ideas and network with the country's leading political minds in what is our 20th anniversary year"
The reception will take place in the parliamentary dining room and keynote speeches will be delivered by a minister, shadow minister or senior Parliamentarian. One of Alumet's Directors will also deliver a short speech outlining their double Green Apple award success, and highlighting their organisation's views.
