Thistle’s on cloud nine with Network VEKA’stop trophy – again

Thistle Windows & Conservatories has again been voted overall best for Customer Satisfaction in the annual Network VEKA Awards.

The trophy, presented at the organisation’s AGM on Saturday (June 19), brings the Aberdeen installer’s count to nine national and regional awards from the organisation in the last ten years.

That overall figure was only topped by Heaver’s of Bridport in Dorset, which came away with its tenth regional award, more than any other in the organisation’s history.
This year also saw three new trophy categories, all presented by snooker legend Steve Davis following the AGM at Beaumont House, Windsor. MPN Windows won best newcomer; Installation of the Year went to Orkney Builders and Showroom of the Year to the Etiam Group.

The other regional winners were: David Brunskill Windows (Yorks and NE), BB Glass (NW), Eddisbury Construction (North & Mids), Trent Valley (East), Oakwood Windows (SE), Shane Howells (Central & Southern), Gardinia (Wales). Thistle’s overall win also includes Scotland & Ireland.
Earlier in the day, a record number of delegates heard news, views and discussions from Network VEKA and industry experts, including the announcement that Network VEKA has reached a new record membership roll-call of 127 fabricators and installers (excluding subsidiaries and associate members), topping the former peak of 120 a few years ago.

Delegates also heard the organisation’s new lead-generation initiative has produced nearly 1,500 leads since its launch in March and is now generating nearly 120 a week and is on target for over 500 in June.

After the awards, more than 200 members and guests dined and danced at a Masquerade Ball with charity features, more prizes and live music.
